Nelson Ferreira, CEO of Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC
Nelson Ferreira, CEO of Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC (VEP) also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ferreira Construction Company, Inc. and Noveda Technologies. With over eighteen years of experience in the construction and environmental industries, Nelson has been involved in numerous heavy highway construction and infrastructure projects. His experiences have enabled him to gain insight, technical
expertise and provide effective leadership crucial to his hands-on approach to the daily management of Ferreira Construction while overseeing operations at VEP and Noveda Technologies.
Governing a fleet of more than 300 pieces of construction equipment and a combined staff of approximately 145 employees, Nelson directly and indirectly coordinates the efforts of professional management staff members, graduate engineers, project managers, project superintendents, equipment operators, fleet maintenance
staff and an array of craft laborers. His participation in the construction industry is not merely limited to Ferreira Construction, but permeates throughout the heavy highway industry with his active involvement in several professional organizations including the Utility and Transportation Contractor’s Association (past President
- 2007) and the Alliance for Action.
Mr. Ferreira is known for his dedication to each employee’s personal and professional development. Paul D. Zensky, President
Paul D. Zensky, as a partner of Vanguard Energy Partners,
LLC,
takes on the responsibilities of managing and installing the electrical portion of the solar electric system, from designing a system that best suits the individual application to installing the solar power to the utility grid.
Paul has been involved in the electrical contracting and construction industry since 1987. He currently owns and operates his own electrical contracting company located in South Plainfield, NJ. The 18 years of experience in the electrical field enables Paul to design and install a wide variety of systems ranging from
solar electric systems, back up generators and
battery back up systems.
Paul received his NJ Electrical Contractors License in May 1993. He also is registered as a Public Works Contractor with the Sate of New Jersey since 2001. He received a certificate in Electrical Technology from Lyons Institute of Technology formerly of Clark, NJ. He has also received multiple certificates in electrical training from Somerset County Vocational and Technical School. He recently received a certificate for
installing grid connected photovoltaic
systems from the Florida Solar Energy Center, a division of the University of Central Florida in February 2004.
Paul is a NABCEP Certified PV Installer™.
Peter J. Osowski, Senior Vice President
Peter J. Osowski, as a partner of Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC,
evaluates all proposed sites and formulates individual installation
specifications in addition to onsite crew supervision for all construction phases of each project.
Peter worked for Eastman Kodak for 8 years as a Field Service Technician
in their Business Equipment Division. Peter has been in construction for the past 17 years in the
waterproofing, roofing and insulation
fields. Peter was an independent distributor for product lines that included single-ply membranes, coatings, sealants, urethane foam and associated materials for 5 years. Peter then formed Coating Systems Company, Inc. This organization specializes in the application of liquid applied waterproofing and protective coatings in addition to spraying interior and exterior polyurethane foam insulation.

Polyurethane Coatings; Truco, Inc.; Volatile Free,
Inc.; Engineered Polymers, Inc. and Foam Enterprises,
Inc. Coating Systems Company is a member of the PDA (Polyurethane

Alex Rivera, Vice President of Business
Development
As a partner at Vanguard, Mr. Rivera excels at the development of new,
renewable energy markets within the Caribbean and the
U.S. His commitment to policy as the driving force toward the proliferation of clean energy
generation has contributed to Vanguard’s success in the
Northeastern U.S. and the entrance into the Caribbean markets.
Years of executive management experience have influenced his business development strategies of sustainable growth during challenging business cycles. This facilitates Vanguard’s success during these early years of the renewable energy
industry. His participation within the renewable sector covers areas from construction
services and business development to policy research.
Alex Rivera’s commitment to the emerging renewable energy market has brought him to participate in the following
organizations: Noveda Technologies, The New Jersey Alliance for Action Energy Committee, The Solar Energy Industry
Association and The Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy.org Steering Committee.
Mr. Rivera is part of the team involved with the First Net Zero Electric Commercial Site in the
U.S. (Ferreira Construction) and its top achievement received from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities as the “2007 Market Innovator of the Year”. He earned a bachelor’s degree of International Studies at the University of South Florida in
1986.
Thomas A. Buono, Vice President of Operations
Thomas A. Buono, VP of Operations for Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC (VEP), joined the firm in January 2008. Tom brings
15 years of management, retail and wholesale financial advisory
services and banking experience to VEP. Before joining VEP, Tom was in charge of debt acquisitions
for a publicly traded portfolio investor. With his financial and management acumen, Tom will be engaged in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the
company, including administrative services, marketing, advertising,
accounting and public relations. Tom will also assist in the
development and implementation of commercial, farm, municipal and utility scale renewable energy products.
Tom is a graduate of Montclair State
University.
Mike Seelman, PE, Engineer
Mr. Seelman has over 14 years of experience in construction and design industries,
including project management, bidding, scheduling, permanent design and temporary design. Having experience in both the construction and solar industries along with his hands-on experience, Mr. Seelman has gained the knowledge and flexibility to derive creative solutions for many problems facing the industry.
As Engineer, Mr. Seelman oversees all in house design work and ensures good engineering practice and conformity with contract drawings, specifications and relevant codes. Additionally, Mr. Seelman is responsible for project oversight and contract administration.
Mr. Seelman is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and maintains the following license: New Jersey Professional Engineer, New York Professional Engineer, Florida Professional Engineer, Florida Certified
